Sessions can take place at home, outdoors, or at another meaningful location in the DMV area. I’m happy to help you choose a setting that fits your family, your pets, and the kind of photographs you’re hoping to make.

Once you book, we’ll talk about what feels most like you. That might be your home, a favorite neighborhood spot, an open field, or somewhere with beautiful architecture and light. Some locations require permits or photography fees, which are not included in the session price.

You don’t need to match. In fact, it’s usually better when you don’t. Choose clothing that feels like you, works well together, and lets everyone move comfortably. I’ll provide simple styling guidance before your session and can help with specific questions.

Absolutely. Dogs are family too. Just let me know in advance so we can choose a dog-friendly location and plan for a session that works with their personality.

They don’t need to. Kids can be kids, and pets can be wonderfully themselves. We’ll leave room to move, play, take breaks, and let things unfold naturally. Some of the best photographs happen when everyone stops trying to make the perfect photograph.

Yes. Pets can remain safely leashed throughout the session. When appropriate, leashes may be removed from the final image during editing. Safety always comes before the photograph.

Yes. The Best Friend is centered on your pet, but we can include a few photographs of the two of you together. For photographs of the full family and pet, The Little Note or The Dear Session will be the better fit.

We’ll keep an eye on the forecast as your session approaches. Light clouds can make beautiful photographs, but heavy rain, storms, or unsafe conditions may require us to reschedule. Weather decisions are typically made as close to the session as reasonably possible.

Your edited, high-resolution photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery. From there, you can select and download the images included with your session.

Yes. Additional individual images and full-gallery upgrades will be available after you receive your gallery.

Your edited gallery will be delivered within approximately two weeks of your session. During especially busy seasons, I’ll let you know in advance if the timeline may be a little longer.

Start by reaching out through the contact form. I’ll follow up to confirm availability, answer any questions, and make sure the session is the right fit. Your booking is complete once the agreement is signed and the required payment is received.

Seasonal Mini Sessions and The Little Note are paid in full at the time of booking. The Dear Session and The Full Story require a 50% retainer to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due before your session.

Life happens. If you need to change your session, please reach out as soon as possible. I’ll do my best to find another available date.

Cancellation and rescheduling details, including how payments are handled, will be outlined in your session agreement.
